H13 TOOL STEEL SUPPLIERS
Steel H13 is tough, versatile and the most used tool steel for hot work applications. This grade can also be used in cold work applications.
Supplied Condition:
We supply H13 hot work tool steel in the soft annealed condition to max. 229 HB.
Rounds can be bandsaw cut to your requirements.
Also available in wide plates & flats.
Also available in the EFS/ESR condition where better properties are required

A wide choice of sizes — H13 is available in rounds from 26mm to 453mm diameter, as well as wide plates and flats. It is supplied soft annealed, with a maximum hardness of 229 HB.
Expert grade advice — H13 is the most used steel for tools that shape hot metal, such as dies that press metal through a shaped opening (extrusion) or hammer it into shape (forging). It stays strong at high temperatures and resists heat cracking. If another grade would suit your application better, we can tell you.
Specify with confidence — H13 is also available in the EFS/ESR condition where better properties are required. Independent testing and inspection can be arranged to confirm quality.
Cut to size — We bandsaw cut H13 to your requirements and pack it safely, so even large pieces arrive ready to use.

- High strength at elevated temperatures
- High wear resistance but limited water-cooling possibilities
- Good toughness, thermal conductivity and heat resistance to cracking/thermal fatigue
